This is the third entry in the "Star Wars Tales" series. The first three episodes are about Asajj Ventress. The story arc takes place after The Clone Wars, and I get the impression I missed some major plot developments for her that happened at some point later in that series than I'd seen at the time that I watched this series. I don't want to spoil those developments, but in this series, Ventress takes on a somewhat normal job, and she's not a villain anymore. She meets a young Jedi Padawan named Lyco Strata, who is searching for "The Path", an escape route for Jedi who survived after the Empire was established. She helps him find the Path, while having a few adventures.

The latter three episodes focus on Cad Bane. It begins with a gangster named Lazlo recruiting a couple of young homeless kids named Colby and Niro to serve as a distraction while he commits a robbery. When the gang is chased by the police following the heist, Colby escapes with the gang, while Niro is left behind. Years later, Lazlo is killed by the marshall of the city where Colby and Niro grew up, and Colby returns there to take revenge against the marshall. I must say, in the first episode of this arc, I was under the impression that Lazlo was Cad Bane, a bounty hunter/criminal with whom I was familiar from "The Clone Wars". (I don't think the name Lazlo was mentioned until the second episode of the arc, but I could be wrong about that.) But I was wrong about him being Bane. It turns out, Colby is now calling himself Cad Bane. And Niro is now a deputy. After Bane kills the marshall, there's a standoff between Bane and the police. Bane's girlfriend, Arin, betrays Bane so that he will be arrested instead of killed. In the final episode, Bane is released from prison early, and returns to seek revenge against Niro, who is now the marshall, and has a young son named Isaac. And... I'll stop there, without spoiling anything more about the story.

Well, both story arcs in this series were rather good. I'm not really sure if I preferred one over the other, or not. But they're both pretty dramatic. And the latter arc is cool because it's basically a Western. And I guess I don't know what else to say.
