This is a sort of anthology series I guess I didn't watch when it was first released, so I'm basically relying on the episode list on IMDb. But I can't find every episode, and the ones I can find don't always have the same release dates that are listed on IMDb. And while many of the videos say "1 Minute Horror," not all of them do. So I can't really be sure all of the episodes I list here are definitely part of the series. And yet there may be more episodes in the series that aren't listed on IMDb. Sigh.
12:07 AM
A guy has a nightmare and then wakes up and then, I dunno, I guess the same thing from the dream is about to happen for real? Meh.
Hidden
I can't find this episode. (Maybe it's hidden. Ya think?)
Look Behind You
A mother puts her baby down for the night, and then... things get creepy, I guess. Meh.
Lovesick
A girl wakes up to find a bunch of texts on her phone from some guy who wants to have sex with her, I guess. She sends a text back to leave her alone. Then gets another text, but we don't see what it says. Meh.
Stormy Night
On a stormy night, a girl picks up a knife while there's pounding at her door. Then what happens? Meh.
Smashing Pumpkins
Some teenagers (I guess) are smashing jack-o-lanterns, which some guy shows up to tell them is a bad idea. And he's right. This was sort of okay.
Clickbait
A guy clicks on a file called "world's scariest video." But it's not the video itself that is particularly scary. This one was okay.
Vandals
A couple of girls are vandalizing their school at night. This one was okay.
Stalk
A guy in a mask, holding a knife, chases a girl. I guess this one was okay.
The VISITors
I can't find this episode.
Cannibal
One girl orders, like, a salad, and another orders meat, and they get into a debate about it, which doesn't end well for the vegetarian.
Take the Stairs
...Because taking the elevator turns out to be a bad idea.
The Elevator
And once again, taking the elevator is a bad idea. Meh.
Krampus Is Here
facebook; IMDb; John William Ross; YouTube
This short was made by director John Ross, in anticipation of Mike Dougherty's 2015 Krampus movie. Anyway... a family is taking turns reading parts of "A Visit from St. Nicholas." At the start of the film, a grandmother is just finishing her part, and her teenage granddaughter (who seems kind of goth) is supposed to read the next part. (The girl is listed as "Hannah" on IMDb, though no names are mentioned in the film, and the video I saw has no credits.) But Hannah would rather read about Krampus. Her father tells her not to, but when she takes the book and starts reading the poem, she soon starts making up her own verses. And... you can probably guess what happens next.
Elf on the Shelf
facebook; YouTube
A babysitter invites her boyfriend over on Christmas Eve, and they make the boy she's sitting for go to bed early. He wishes his Elf on the Shelf were real, and of course, it comes to life. And does terrible things.
The Witch
This isn't listed on IMDb, but I discovered it on John Ross's website, because he did a couple of the shorts that were listed on IMDb. Anyway... I'm not sure what to say about it, except it's vaguely inspired by The Witch. (It definitely looks more modern than that movie, though.)
