A man argues with his wife about something she'd done that he considers unforgivable (presumably she cheated on him). Their two daughters, Lucy and Dana, overhear the argument. Later that night, a monster (which as far as I know was never under any beds) attacks and kills the wife, and the husband then attacks the monster with a machete, and it runs away. Dana, the younger daughter, witnesses all this, but Lucy had been hiding in her bedroom. When she comes out, she sees her father standing over her dead mother with a bloody machete, so it's natural for Lucy to assume he killed her. Cut to six months later, Dad and daughters have been on the run in an RV, with the monster continually chasing them. However, Lucy still doesn't believe her father or her sister about the monster's existence, and thinks they're just on the run from the police. However, one night she finally sees the monster. Beyond that, I won't say what happens next. But I definitely thought it was a really good short, and I hope there'll be more to the story at some point.
