Soot is a monstrous apparition that takes the lives of people who have survived accidents in which they were apparently meant to die. It reminds me of Final Destination, except that you actually get to see the monster that's causing the deaths. Anyway, it's not a bad series, I guess, but I just don't really like it. It's gruesome, and it seems grossly unfair.
