There have been several different series of webisodes based on the TV series Smallville. They started during season 2, but the first webseries I got to see was from season 6. Hopefully I'll get around to watching the others, someday.

This was a series of six CGI mobisodes that were originally available to people with Sprint mobile phones, but soon thereafter became available on the CW's website. They streamed during season 6 of the show, and told some backstory for Oliver Queen. In the first webisode, he's a young boy, who is resentful of his parents always going away on business trips and leaving him behind. But someone plants a bomb on their plane. In the second webisode, we see Ollie's parents on the plane, talking about him, and his mother writes a letter to him. But the plane blows up and plunges into the ocean. We then see young Lex Luthor crying in back of a limo, after reading about the deaths in a newspaper. Of course, Lex's father wants him to be less emotional. Then the story flashes forward nine years to Ollie and Lex graduating from Excelsior Academy as young men. Oliver then sets off on a cruise on his private yacht. In webisode 3, the yacht's captain betrays him to some criminals, and Ollie has to escape on a raft. He winds up on an island, where some natives spend a few months training him to use a bow and arrows in webisode 5. He also finds his parents' crashed plane (which is odd, since it should be at the bottom of the ocean). Even more unbelievable, the letter his mother had written to him is still in perfectly readable condition, even after being exposed to the elements all these years. Then he sees his stolen yacht cruising just off the island (which seems like an amazing coincidence). In webisode 6, Ollie and his native friends recapture the boat, and later turn the captain over to the authorities. We then see Ollie return home and start his vigilante career as Green Arrow.
