Prior to the start of CW Seed, Warner Bros. had a streaming service on TheWB.com, which lasted from 2008 to 2013, starting nearly two years after TV network The WB merged with UPN to form The CW. The service streamed both old WB and other Warner-produced shows, and original content. I don't think I ever watched anything with regularity on that website (though I do recall discovering Me First and the Gimme Gimmes' cover of "Over the Rainbow" because it was playing in an episode of some original webseries that I don't even really remember anymore, which I may not have watched more than one episode of). I also used to link to the site in my reviews of various shows I had watched on TV, when they first aired. Anyway, CW Seed is pretty much the same as TheWB.com was; it streams both original webseries and old TV shows. And again, I put links to the new site in my reviews, though since what they have available occasionally changes, my links eventually die, so I don't know why I even bother. (But that's neither here nor there.) Well, so far there hasn't been a lot of original content on CW Seed that has been of interest to me, but there have been a few things.

I tried to check the CW Seed website in early 2023 after not having looked at it for a number of years, and found the site was gone. I have no idea when it disappeared, but apparently at some point the network became a CW app instead of a website, and now I'm not even sure if it's an app anymore. The service might be defunct.
