Jim Henson Idea Man, on Disney+
Disney Wiki; Imagine; IMDb; Muppet Wiki; On Disney+; Rotten Tomatoes; Wikipedia

This 2024 documentary examines the life of Jim Henson from his early days doing a late night puppet show on local TV, to working on Sesame Street, and Saturday Night Live, and The Muppet Show, The Muppet Movie, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Fraggle Rock, and other projects, including experimental short films. Numerous people he worked with, such as Frank Oz, as well as his ex-wife, Jane, and their children, reminisce about Henson. There's also archival footage of Henson himself, including clips from an interview by Orson Welles. The documentary ends soon after Henson's funeral in 1990. I felt like it gave me a fairly good idea of who the man was, and despite everyone speaking in glowing terms about him, I don't think all of what I learned about him was good. But mostly it was. And I don't know what else to say about it, except that there are some neat visuals employed at various points in the documentary.
