This is the third movie in the ZOMBIES franchise, following ZOMBIES 2. It's the first movie in the series to debut on Disney+ instead of Disney Channel, but an extended version (which I haven't seen) premiered on Disney Channel almost a month after the Disney+ debut. I didn't like it as much as the first two movies, but it was okay. And I did like at least a few of the songs and the dancing.
Let's see, what can I tell you about the plot? The humans, zombies, and werewolves of Seabrook are all getting along pretty well. Eliza isn't around, because she's off interning at the company that makes Z-bands, now. But she keeps in touch with her friends via video calls. And Wyatt has romantic feelings for her, though not much comes of that plot point. Everyone's finishing up their final year of high school, and Addison has already been accepted to Mountain College, which I guess is a couple hundred miles away. Zed also hopes to gain admission to the college, so he and Addison can stay together. But it's going to be difficult to get in, because he would be the first zombie ever admitted to any college. Meanwhile, Addison has arranged an international cheering competition in Seabrook. And then... aliens show up. Their homeworld had been destroyed centuries ago, I guess. Or at least made uninhabitable, presumably in much the same way Earth is being slowly made uninhabitable by unchecked pollution and whatnot. The aliens are looking for a map that will lead to a new utopia for them to live in. The map was left behind on Earth by a scout whose ship crashed here many years ago. It's encoded into some unknown object, which the aliens need to find. But they don't want the Earthlings to know about that mission, so they say they're here for the cheer competition. The werewolves don't trust them, but Addison does. And... more stuff happens, including a very important revelation for Addison. But that's all I want to say.
Followed by ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series shorts.
