Set not many years after the fall of the Galactic Empire in "Return of the Jedi", the story begins with pirates led by Captain Silvo (Jude Law) raiding a ship. When they find no credits aboard, Silvo's first mate, Brutus, stages a mutiny. The story then shifts to the planet At Attin, which is hidden away from the rest of the Galaxy by a barrier. Four kids, Wim, Fern, Neel, and KB, discover a crashed spaceship. While investigating it, they accidentally activate it, and it flies off beyond the barrier, and then goes into hyperspace. The kids then meet a droid named SM-33 (voiced by Nick Frost), who pilots the ship to a pirates' colony. The children end up being thrown into a prison cell, where they meet Silvo. He calls himself Jod Na Nawood. He is a Force-user, and allows the children to believe he is a Jedi. He helps them escape from the cell in exchange for taking him with them on their ship.

The group has a series of adventures on different planets as they try to find their way home to At Attin. That proves difficult, because their planet isn't on any starmaps, and most people who've even heard of it consider it a myth, and it supposedly has a great treasure. But "Jod" believes it's real, and intends to loot the planet's treasure. And I don't want to get into any more specific details of their adventures, but they do eventually get back to At Attin. Their problems don't end with their return, of course, but everything turns out alright in the end.

Well, before I watched the series, I thought it would be more kid-friendly than it turned out to be, considering four of the main characters are kids. It's a pretty good adventure story, but it's also pretty dark, and might be scary for younger kids. I guess I'd compare it to a Robert Louis Stevenson story, like "Treasure Island" or something, so if you think that's suitable for children, you'll probably think the same about this. Anyway, I liked all the kids, and Silvo/Jod was a pretty good villain. And overall, I found the series very entertaining.
